A Retaliator occurs as 1998 film according to a British cult television series of the same name from the Sixties. A film was directed by Jeremiah S. Chechik. It starred Ralph Fiennes and Uma Thurman as secret agents John Steed and Emma Peel, and Sean Connery as Sir August de Wynter, the mad man of science bent in controlling the world's atmospheric condition & blackmailing various governments for even sun or rain. Patrick Macnee, a John Steed of the original series, makes the pseudo-cameo when the voice of Invisible Jones.

Critical Response
a film tend about always bad reviews; a purists hated it for bungling higher a original series (particularly a introduction of a romance between Steed & Peel - a taboo subject in the series), & the newcomers were absolutely wasted by 100% of the failing tries to capture the mood of the original. Farther adding to the confusion, when terrible test screenings, the 150-microscopic film was slashed down to 89 proceedings, sacrificing tremendously coherency & continuity in the run.

Trivia
Great deal of the footage seen in the official trailer for a film comes from either scenes cut from the final film. Virtually all of the cut scenes remaaround in the official novelisation of the film, & in copies of the shooting script which prove my point to circulate on the Internet.
